South African law requires employers whose staff are exposed to noise above 85 dB(A) over an 8-hour shift to run a hearing conservation programme — including baseline audiograms for new hires and annual follow-up audiograms thereafter (SANS 10083 / OHS Act). Failing to do so exposes the company to Compensation Fund claims, Department of Employment and Labour audits, and civil liability.
We provide in-practice audiometric testing for compliance, with reports formatted for the Compensation Commissioner and for your occupational health file. Common industries we work with include manufacturing, construction, mining support, and hospitality. Companies wanting a quote for annual testing are welcome to contact us.
