Free online hearing test
A quick screening you can take at home. Headphones required.
Before you start
In a moment you will be able to choose between two short hearing screenings, or do both. Whichever you pick, the basics are the same:
- Have your earphones or hearing aids ready. Both ears need to receive sound — the test will not work over a phone or laptop speaker. You will pick which device you are using in a moment.
- Find a quiet room. Background noise will mask the test signals.
- Set your device volume to about half. You will fine-tune it using a calibration tone.
- Plan for 3–6 minutes of uninterrupted listening.
Please note: these are screenings, not diagnostic hearing tests. They give a rough indication only. A proper hearing test in the practice uses calibrated equipment and looks at far more than these few measurements.
