Tinnitus is the perception of sound — ringing, buzzing, hissing — with no external source. It can affect one or both ears and vary in loudness and pitch.

Tinnitus cannot always be cured, but it can almost always be managed. The right combination depends on you: hearing aids where an underlying hearing loss is contributing, sound therapy to reduce the contrast between the tinnitus and silence, cognitive strategies to change how the brain responds to it, and treating any underlying medical or ear condition.

We assess and manage tinnitus at the practice — book a consultation and we'll work out what's driving it and what will help you most.
